To create a Snapshot, go to the "Instances" and select the instance for which you want to take a Snapshot.
- Make sure the instance is VOLUME based and not a LOCAL SSD Instance
- Click the "Create Snapshot" button
To create a Snapshot, type a name for the Snapshot.
- The Snapshot name is an identifier, which you can find later on, in the created Snapshot list in the "Volumes Snapshot" section
After creating Snapshot, see if Snapshot was successful created.
- Go to "Volumes" then "Volumes Snapshot" and see the list
- If the operation was successful, you will see the newly created Snapshot in the list
- It usually takes a few seconds to create a Snapshot, because Snapshot is created on a NETAPP disk array using NETAPP's built-in Snapshot technology, which makes Snapshot creation and recovery fast - Volume instances in a few seconds
