Rescue mode

Rescue mode is necessary in case your instance's file system becomes corrupted.

Activate Rescue Mode for the Virtual Machine so that you can repair the damaged file system.

Note: The rescue mode VM will be setup with the same network configuration as the real VM and a new root password is generated. Additionally, the new VM will have the primary file system as the rescue image, and the secondary file system will be the primary file system of the original VM.

  1. To turn on "Rescue Mode" you need to go to the Client Area "Services" -> Your Service -> "Rescue Instance"
